imagines it in what she calls a “
reverse-white kitchen” scheme, with the saturated
color on the walls and light blond wood
cabinetry, thick white counters, and
painted white semigloss trim.
“The combination of light-absorbing
quality along with just a hint of sheen,”
says architect and designer RAMSAY
GOURD, gives matte paint “an incredible
depth.” He adds that the CENTURY line
brings it a step
further. “The first
time I saw it, I
had to touch it. It
is velvety and
tactile.” In a

with leopard-
patterned glass
floor tiles, a gold-tinted ceiling, brass
fixtures, and a high-gloss dark-brown
paint for trim.
