oven and microwave drawer on the working side. It’s an arrangement that keeps those appliances out of sight, while a sleek black-glass induction cooktop fits neatly in the countertop.
The look is “neutral, timeless, seamless,” says Horowitz, “and not likely to be torn out like
most of the decorative tile backsplashes we see in our renovation projects.” Punctuating the
space is an end wall of aqua blue, itself accented by the brushed-aluminum tambour door of
an appliance garage that reaches to the ceiling.
