“There’s a resurgence of handcrafting,” says Cameron, who belongs to the New
Hampshire Furniture Masters Association
and teaches at the Furniture Institute of
Massachusetts in Beverly, Massachusetts.
The rising appreciation of the art is evident
by the blackboard in his shop, which lists a
year’s worth of upcoming projects. Krenov
is no longer alive, but his energy lives, not
only in the work but also in the sneakers still
hanging off a band saw in Gloucester.
