“It was a quirky lot,” he says. “The view

that bridges the space between the groomed

Irises and perennial geraniums in shades of
blue and violet create a sense of distance and
hinting at neoclassical influences in its proportions and furnishings, the living room features a pair
of lush Boston ferns elevated on stands at either side of a broad bay. A pair of upholstered side chairs
evokes ancient Greece’s curvaceous klismos chairs. An understated neutral color scheme adds to the
