I T’S A MATCH • It’s nice to have an oven that’s smart, but Dacor has made its high-tech
Discovery iQ wall ovens and ranges sexy, too. With DacorMatch Color System, the California
company offers color that goes way beyond 50 shades. Simply provide a color swatch and,
voilá, Dacor will make an oven to match. Or pick from 10 vibrant ready-made color
options such as Crimson, Envy, Tangerine, Black Tie, and Sangria. “We’re empowering
customers to take control of the color palette of their cooking appliances to truly make the
kitchen their own,” says Dacor president Steve Joseph. The 30-inch single wall oven (above in
crimson) is $4,499; 30-inch double, $7,499; 48-inch dual-fuel range, $11,999; dacor.com.
CIAO BELLA • Italian appliance fashionista
SMEG has added vibrant yellow and icy white to
its delicious FAB28 line of retro-style refrigerators
(above). Solid colors start at $1,999; a Union Jack
motif (a cult fave, according to SMEG’s
marketing arm) is $2,499. If you want just a
little retro in your kitchen, the company, which
has been turning out appliances for three
generations, has a new line of toasters, mixers,
and kettles. We’re glad they discovered America.

NEW WAVE • Like the idea of a pedestal sink,
but don’t like your pipes showing? Consider

17½-inch-deep ribbon of stone. The base
(vessel sink sold separately) comes in (from
left) Honed Basalt ($2,379), Bianco Carrara
Marble ($2,460), and Papiro Cream Marble
($2,195). stoneforest.com; available at Ardente
