it is our mission to keep our readers up to date on
the latest products and innovations in design and construction — and we have fun doing it. So we were delighted to
team up with Roomscapes Luxury Design Center for “A
Feast for the Senses,” a series of three events at its showroom in Rockland, Massachusetts. The first was a culinary
extravaganza with cooks from Clarke, distributors of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, demonstrating in Roomscapes’
test kitchen. Next up was an evening dedicated to “The
Art of Relaxation,” which featured bath and spa products
courtesy of Villeroy & Boch, the German maker of luxury
fixtures. And finally, because great design looks even better
in the right light, there was a night of mixing and mingling
co-hosted by Fleming’s Lighting of Cohasset.
“Real Answers to Hardwood Questions” might sound like a dry topic, but this seminar,
the brainchild of Chris Zizza, president of C&R Flooring in Needham, and co-sponsored by
Needham Bank was a lively and informative give-and-take session. Over a fine Italian meal at
Lucia in Boston’s North End, a panel of experts discussed the latest technologies and techniques
with the building professionals who packed the room.
April 8 through 11, we’ll be at the AD 20/21: Art & Design of the 20th and 21st Centuries
show at Cyclorama in Boston’s South End, and April 14 and 15, at the Residential Design and
Construction show at Boston’s Seaport World Trade Center. Join us there, or find a digital version of Design New England in the Luxury Living section (
our sister site
Boston.com or at
DesignNewEngland.com. The beat goes on this spring.
