Even before its $21.4 million expansion, the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire, was considered a little jewel. But with the completion of 33,000 square feet of additional space and a more modern, user-friendly framework,
the small marvel has grown into a much larger treasure.
And like most things precious, the glittering new Currier
has won admirers: As soon as the museum reopened, it had
25,000 visitors in the first week. Ann Beha Architects of Boston
won the American Institute of Architects’ New Hampshire 2009
