Landscape architects know that intimate outdoor areas
are prime warm-weather gathering spots. We asked
three local talents to dream up spaces that reflect the
unique environments of their home states — Maine,
Rhode Island, and Massachusetts — and their own
distinctive aesthetics. Ann Kearsley (Page 22), Katherine
Field (Page 24), and Gregory Lombardi (Page 26)
designed stunning havens that will please landlubbers
and seafarers alike.
