Summer by the Sea • With the breathtaking beauty and variety of the New England coastline,
it’s no wonder that we head to the shore. The tradition of second homes by the water’s edge goes back to the
Native Americans who set up summer camps where the weather was cooler and the fishing was good. So too
today, we flock to the treasure that is our beaches and harbors and rocky coast for the fresh salt air and barefoot
ambience that lets us know we are truly getting away from it all.
